In Folk Secrets, the mysterious leader of Them is known as the Captain. Some say he's a pirate. Some believe he's evil. Some are convinced he can defy time itself. And wouldn't you know it, he'll be in Norman, OK soon to sign books!
But he's doing more than signing his name. Within each copy of Folk Secrets, the Captain will write a clue pointing to a secret location. Be the first to figure out the clue, visit the location, and email a photo back to us--and you'll win a $200 Barnes & Noble gift card!

Buy a copy of Folk Secrets at the Norman Barnes and Noble (540 Ed Noble Parkway) on Tuesday, October 28th from 6-8pm (you can also bring your own copy if you already have it).

Get it signed by the Captain. He will sign his name and also write a clue to a secret location.

Figure out the meaning of his clue.

Go to the secret location and take a photo (photo should include you at the location, holding the book).
